Some Relief for our Princess!

Well - it's true. The third time really is a charm!! (Try, try and try again!) Jenna had her surgery this morning to get tubes in her ears. Everything went great! She had the same nurse prep her this week as last week - they all remembered her (how could you forget that smile!). She started at 7:30. The doctor was out talking to Cory and I by 7:50, and we were back with Jenna by 8:00!

Before they took her back, they gave her some medicine to relax her and make her feel "happy". It DEFINITELY worked!! haha! She was VERY loopy, laughing at herself and falling over in her crib! It was so funny! We got some on video for you to see....

Now please don't think I'm insensitive for posting that. I would never drug my children for fun or do something crazy like that!! But how could we help but record her little "high"!! :) Too funny!

That's another picture of her before surgery. The nurse was right - the medicine did make her happy!!

Jenna was glad to see Cory & I after her surgery - and I think even more excited to see her bottle and crackers! She was HUNGRY! She recovered fast and we were sent home by 9:00! She's had a great day and you would never know she had surgery this morning. I'm sure she feels so much better! I'm excited to start hearing her pick up more and more words!!

Shows & Movies -- Our Nightly Escape!

The Bachelor is one of my favorite Reality TV shows to keep up with! Pathetic? Yes, but I like it! It's good entertainment! I know it was on last night, but I typically do not watch shows until late at night when I'm in bed, so you may see my TV blogs a day or 2 late.... sorry!! ;) By the way - HOW did we ever live without DVR!?

The end of this season is proving to bring a lot of drama our way! What will happen on the March 2nd Big Shocker of a Show!? I've spent the last week or so reading a lot of other blogs written by people who "have sources" and I find the theories VERY interesting! Reality Steve is the one blog I tend to believe. I think he's onto something - especially after Chris Harrison wrote a blog trying to "put out the fires" that Reality Steve has started. Feel free to read his blog if you have an extra hour or so!! :) I'm not going to talk about what I think happens here b/c I don't want to ruin it for any of you who want to wait and see it next Monday. But I do have a feeling that my favorite girl ends up getting hurt in the end....

Another favorite at our house is 24. LOVE IT! It's one of the only shows that Cory & I make sure we watch together EVERY Monday. This DVR'd show doesn't wait days... it's always playing as soon as we get the kids to bed! All I know is that if I am ever in trouble... I want Jack Bauer on MY side!! This season is just starting to heat up. Jack just got ahold of a computer chip that has the names of all of the government employees that are involved in the terrorist attacks that have been taking place on American soil. Where was the computer chip - you ask!? It was implanted inside of one of the enemies bodies! Where else!? (ha!) It gets a little far-fetched at times, but we still love it! We're kept on the edge of our seat for an hour each Monday!

Sunday night I was able to get out with the girls for a while... we went out for Buffalo Wild Wings and then saw "He's just not that into you". I was excited to see it -- there are a lot of big names in this one! I thought it was good... a chick flick, but good! For some reason though, Drew Barrymore annoyed me in this movie. Her part seemed to serve no purpose. I could have done without that character. The rest of the stories were interesting and I thought Ginnifer Goodwin was great! (And of course Ben Afleck was looking great!) I give it 1.5 thumbs up and suggest it for your girls night out! So... are you the exception? Or are you the rule?

Office Fun - Changing it Up!

Today I moved offices at work.... silly, I know - but like I said... it's the Little Things in life that excite me!! :) After 3 1/2 years, I moved to a different office in our building. I had fun re-organizing my stuff and cleaning everything up in the process! So this is where I spend my days... slaving away at my computer!

Bowling Fun!

My friend's son stopped by a couple weeks ago with tickets for a fundraiser he was part of. He's going on a church mission trip and wondered if we wanted to buy tickets to go bowling. We thought it sounded like a fun family day out!! Bryce had never been bowling, but he sure has practiced a lot on our Wii!! :) (His best score is 221! Wow!!)

Here's a picture of him wearing the adorable tiny bowling shoes and using the lightest ball they had (6 lbs). He had a blast and even got a spare! His score was 83 -- not bad for a little guy!!

We had a blast enjoying cookies and Sprite with our bowling game! We'll definitely go back again and Bryce would like to take his friends there for his Birthday party this year!

Here's Jenna enjoying herself while we were bowling!!

Lately it's been rare to see that adorable smile on Jenna's face. She's struggled with a constant double ear infection for 4 months now! We've been trying to get tubes for a few weeks, but she gets sick just in time for the doctor to cancel her surgery!! 2 weeks ago she was throwing up, this past week she had Roseola. Poor thing. 3rd time is a charm - right!? We sure hope so... Jenna could sure use some relief.... as could the rest of us!!
They sent us home after this picture was taken. You can see just how miserable she is. My poor princess! :( Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well and she is able to feel better this week!

I'm pretty sure this blogging thing is going to drive husband nuts!! He's already rolling his eyes at me and it's only my first night of blogging!! He feels I spend WAY too much time on the computer. Well husband... just wait... a new addiction is brewing!! :)

Who Doesn't Love the Little Things?!

If you would have asked me 6 weeks ago to create a blog, I would have laughed and said I didn't even understand what blogging was all about!! :) I've recently been following blogs written by some of my friends and I have to say I absolutely LOVE it and can't wait to log on each morning to see what they have written!

Who doesn't LOVE the LITTLE THINGS in life!? We all do! The Little Things are what make up my world and bring happiness into my life! My Little Things come in the form of my children, husband, family, friends, neighbors, social events and even sometimes my job! It's all of these Little Things that have made me who I am today and make each day what it is.

I have really enjoyed reading the Little Things that make up my friends' lives b/c we don't always have the time to talk on the phone and share all of it. That is what inspired me to start my own blog. I want to share all of the Little Things going on in our life with all of you!
