Pajama Girl

We have an issue. And when I say "WE", I really do mean we! Jenna is obsessed with pajamas! OBSESSED! She loves them and she changes her pajamas multiple times a night. In the middle of the night. (yeah, fun!!)

It's the first thing she does when we get home every night. Before I have even had a chance to look through the mail, she's up in her room putting on pajamas. At 5:45pm!! My neighbors are getting used to seeing Jenna play in her pajamas in the yard! I try, try, try to get her clothes back on her to go outside - and usually do, but sometimes you just have to pick your battles!!! :)

Even though Jenna started this whole thing a few months ago by getting sooo excited to change and wear pajamas, I will freely admit, I have added A LOT of fuel to the fire here!!! That's where the WE part comes in. I have fed her obsession by continuing to add to her jammie collection almost weekly while I'm garage sale shopping! :)

I know. It's bordering on disgusting - right? In my defense, ALL but one pair of those pajamas are from garage sales! I haven't paid more than $1 for any of them. Some of them were as cheap as 25 cents - and some were given to her from friends who have outgrown them!

Just in case you're wondering - I AM a garage sale addict! I admit it. I am. And I get just as excited about finding cute pajamas as Jenna gets when I come home with them! She can hardly wait for them to get through the wash!

Funny story about being a garage sale addict..... Last week I wanted to take the kids to the store so we could get Bryce some new shoes. We pulled into the Kohls parking lot and I said, ok, let's go. Jenna said, "Is this the garage sale, Mommy?" haha! As if I ONLY buy things at garage sales! It's almost embarrassing that my poor daughter thinks that!! It gave Bryce and I a good chuckle though!

Maybe what I'm looking for is that magical pair of pajamas that makes Jenna want to stay in her bed and go to sleep at night. Then STAY asleep all night! Hmmmm.... I'll keep looking. I haven't found them yet. ;)

We were Buffett Bound on Saturday and had a GREAT time! The forecast called for thunderstorms, but we lucked out! We had a hot & humid perfect day! It was a great night hanging with good friends and listening to some great music!

Birthday Boy

My little boy is growing up way too fast! We recently celebrated his 5th birthday! (3 times!) On his REAL birthday, Cory and I surprised him with this gift..... (and a few other small things)!

HE LOVES IT! And this beast of a 4-wheeler makes it up the hill in our backyard!! Awesome! He can easily tote his friends around on the back and he's just having a blast showing it off!

I made him a Power Ranger cake for his birthday. Unfortunately, I did not inherit my Grandma's cake decorating skills, but I try! :) He requested a chocolate cake with blue frosting. I must say it was yummy!

On his birthday he said to me, "Mom, do you and Dad want me to stay 5 forever?" (We joke with him that we want him to stay little.) I said, "Yes, but you're going to keep growing - aren't you??" He smiled and said "YEP!" It was cute!

We celebrated his birthday with all of our family "back home" a few weeks ago. Here is Bryce with his Uncle Danny and Uncle Mark. I love this picture - turned out so good!

This picture says it all!

What a fun-filled and busy weekend! This picture explains how we all felt by the end of the trip "home"! We were beat!!! This is a snapshot of Jenna right before we ended the weekend at "home". She was supposed to be eating as Cory and I were loading up the van!

The weekend started with a family baby shower for my niece, Leighton. She got some precious gifts and lots of love from all the relatives visiting! Saturday night we were able to enjoy some time with our friends at a cook out. It's great to see all of you and let our kids play together. I love it when Bryce remembers your kids names! I hope that is a sign of good things to come when we are finally able to move back there! :)

Sunday was Leighton's baptism. She did awesome and didn't make a peep through the whole thing! I was honored to be her God-Mother! :)

After the church service we enjoyed a family dinner out at my Mom's house. Here's a cute picture of the 3 kiddos together!

And late that afternoon, the kids and I decided to head up to the pool while Cory golfed. They had a BLAST! So much so, that we went back again on Monday afternoon! We thought it would be good to wear them out before the long drive back home. It definitely did wear them out --- hence the first picture!

We also enjoyed a Memorial Day celebration at the park! Here is Demi and Jenna playing after the celebration was over!

Sunday we had lunch up at the clubhouse.... imagine this.... Cory was golfing!! :) Just kidding - hon!! This was after lunch while we watched the Dad's for a bit.

It was a great weekend and it was so nice to see everyone! :) Until next time......
