Trip #6 - They know us by name!! :)

First of all, a big Happy Birthday to my husband (yesterday)! We hope you had a special day!!! :)

Bryce made trip number 6 to the urgent care center yesterday!!!! He stepped on something in the yard and it punctured his foot. He bled, but we cleaned it up, put a magic bandaid on and we went right back to playing. About 5 hours later, he was limping and said he couldn't walk and was crying with each step. We took his shoe off to find that the bottom of his foot had swollen up and was bruised. It hurt to the touch and was hard underneath the swelling. We were afraid something may have gotten inside his foot. So, off to the urgent care center we went! They don't SERIOUSLY know us by name, but it almost seems as if they should!!! :)

As you can see in this picture, he was quite scared and very teary. He's BEEN there before, he's HAD stitches, he KNOWS it is not fun! But lots of hugs and kisses made him feel better and the x-rays showed nothing inside his foot, so they did not even need to dig around!! :) They sent us home with antibiotics to prevent infection and said to use motrin for the pain until the swelling goes down and it's easier for him to walk. I'm so glad nothing was inside his foot! :)

Back home to finish up my Sunday project. Our carpets really needed a good cleaning. We rented the cleaner from the store and did our front living room, dining room and our family room. The carpet definitely looks better. Not new or anything, but better. :) I'm sure it will be a matter of a week or 2, before the bad stains resurface. :(

Talk about good weather - man, it was HOT out yesterday! The kids enjoyed it though and spent some time with the neighbors playing in the water!

And one of our FAVORITE parts of Summer is the fruit!!!!! Yummy!

Here are the kids enjoying our first Watermelon of the season!! :)

Saturday we gathered with some friends for some outdoor play, a backyard firepit, some roasted marshmellows and a few beverages! :) Jenna and her partner in crime hit the pillows around 10 and went right to sleep!! How cute!

Not so much luck with the older two, they were up WAY past their bedtimes!!! But they had fun! Isn't that what being a kid is all about!? :)
